The Widow

The story of a widow, throwing off her mourning gown.
After her husband has died, she tries to make up for lost time by choosing one man after another.
Strangely enough, she only takes to men that are married, as if she has decided to show these men
what they are missing by being trapped in the cage of marriage.

The widow

Men await her sign;
There have been all too many
since she threw off her gown

She is countless brides
and haunts their every night

She turns her coins
and she's only doubtful when drawn
by their vows
and their sorrowful ways

She turns her body into a rage
that celebrates their nights
but wrecks their days
